Mark Musgrove

Mark Musgrove

Mark is a native Oregonian, attended the University of Oregon, and graduated from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1981. Mark and his wife Diane lived in Florence for three years and together managed Riverside Chapel. Mark is a Mason, a member of Scottish Rite and the Shrine and has served on the board of Oregon Club. He has served as president of Siuslaw Lions Club, Lane Memorial Blood Bank, the Eugene Active 20/30 Club and Lane Leaders Association. He served as president of the Oregon Funeral Directors in 1996-1997, as Oregon's representative to the National Funeral Directors Association's (NFDA) Policy Board, and as chairman of NFDA's Constitution and Bylaws Committee. In 1997 he was the first funeral director in Oregon to be awarded to designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (C.F.S.P.) by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. C.F.S.P. is funeral service' s national individual recognition. He was the 1st Oregonian to serve as President of the National funeral Directors Association in 2003-2004 and is serving on the Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation Board.

Diane Musgrove

Diane is a graduate of the University of Oregon. She is a licensed Funeral Service Practitioner in Oregon. She assisted in the management of Riverside Chapel Funeral Home in Florence, OR and was active in many civic organizations. In Eugene, Diane is past president of Soroptmist International of Eugene, OR , active in her church, PTA Board Member, and has served on the City of Eugene's Enterprise Zone Committee. She and Mark have two sons, Matthew and Nicholas.

Jeffrey Musgrove

Jeffrey Musgrove

Jeff was born and raised in Eugene. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Oregon and an Associate of Arts degree from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He earned the designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (C.F.S.P.) by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. He is Past President of the Oregon Funeral Directors Association and serves on their Board of Directors. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Eugene Mission, Lions Visiongift, the Funeral Service Agency, and is the Oregon Representative on the National Funeral Directors Association Policy Board. He is active in his church and is Past President of the Eugene Active 20/30 Club, the Eugene Downtown Lions Club, the Oregon Club of Eugene-Springfield and the Midtown Business Associates. Jeff is also a former member of DMORT, a federal organization that assists in the event of a mass fatality. Jeff and his wife, Sharon, have two children.

Sharon Musgrove

Sharon earned a Business degree from Lane Community College and worked as an Accountant and Tax Preparer before becoming a full time mother of two. She worked as a Fitness and Weight Loss Coach before joining the Administration Staff of Musgrove Mortuaries and Cemeteries in 2005. Sharon is a Certified Specialist in Fitness Nutrition. She is active in her church, is a volunteer Teacher in recovery programs at the Eugene Mission and Ashes to Beauty, and supports the work of Precious Life International and Pasha's Hopeful Steps, giving aid to the Maasai people of East Africa. Sharon enjoys spending time with friends and family, travel and being culinary adventurous.

Vanesa Gunther

I grew up in Northern California in a little town called Cottonwood. I enjoyed Baseball, horses, and many outdoor activities. I have worked in elder care facility doing housekeeping, waitressing, firefighting, managing a book store, warehouse shipping and receiving and office management. I have an AA in psychology. I married my husband Jurgen in 2006 and moved to Oregon in 2007. I have 3 children, Jessica, Tristan and Joshua. I have 5 grandchildren, Carlos, Alicia, Matthew, Blaine and Charity. I joined Musgrove Family Mortuary and Cemeteries in March 2011. My interests vary greatly. I love to travel, the outdoors, spending time with family and friends, reading, Art, History, racing, volunteering and I am sure many other things would apply. I do appreciate the opportunity to meet with families and talk with them about their current plans and their final wishes for Burial or Cremation and then placement in one of our beautiful Memorial Parks. Thank you for allowing me to serve you.

Joe Sharps

Joe Sharps

Joseph E. Sharps was born and raised in Coos Bay, Oregon. In the year 2000 he graduated from Mount Hood Community College, with a degree in Funeral Service Education. After graduating from Mt. Hood Community College, Joe received a degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon. Prior to working for Musgrove Family Mortuary, Joe taught embalming and other funeral education classes at Mt. Hood Community College. In 2005, Joe became a volunteer diver for the Lane County Search & Rescue Dive Team, and he is an active member of Lane Leaders Association, and the Eugene Dive Club He enjoys scuba diving, hunting, fishing, backpacking, whitewater rafting, camping, and mycology.

Kelly Hughes

Kelly Hughes

Kelly Hughes joined the cemetery grounds crew staff at Musgrove Family Mortuary in 2005 at the Lane Memorial Gardens location. Prior to joining Musgroves he worked at Lane Memorial Gardens as grounds crew since 1998. He served in the Navy for 6 years and prides himself in honoring veteran families buried at Lane Memorial Gardens.

Connie Loose

Connie Loose

Connie Loose is a native Oregonian. She went to Briggs Middle School and Thurston High School. She has one daughter, and four grandchildren. She worked most of her younger years in the restaurant business. In 1989 she moved to Boise, Idaho and lived there for 13 years. She went to real estate school in Boise and became a real estate agent, selling homes while also managing a fine dining restaurant named Edwards Restaurant in the evenings. She eventually moved back to Eugene and started working at Gateway Medical as a Billing Analyst until 2008. In 2008 she joined our team at Musgrove’s as a Family Service Advisor and is currently still with us. She enjoys getaways to the coast, going to musical performances, some crafts, but, mostly enjoys spending time with her family.

Tom Cross

Tom Cross

Tom was raised and attended school in Eugene. After 25 years, he retired from Consumer Products Company, Procter & Gamble where he managed multiple business units at corporate head headquarters for both retail and wholesale distributors in the Pacific Northwest. Tom was inducted in to the exclusive P&G Chairman's Club for outstanding business results. After retirement, he moved to Arizona where he served as a consultant to a family owned private Consumer Products Company as well as working with a Taiwan based Technology Company. He returned to Eugene in 2005 and in 2006 he founded a family owned DNA testing Service Company. His company provides a complete menu of DNA tests for private individuals, law enforcement agencies, hospitals, medical clinics, social organizations and private investigators. He has presented DNA testing for paternity and other family relationship testing to members of the Oregon State Bar, and Family Law attorneys. In 2010, Tom joined the staff at Musgrove's as a Family Service Advisor. His passion is serving families; assisting them at time of need as well as helping pre plan their funeral and cemetery arrangements. Tom is a member of Eugene Faith Center Church and a former member of the Eugene Chamber of Commerce. Tom is married with 3 grown children and 9 grandchildren. In his off time, Tom has run multiple Eugene Butte-Butte 10k runs, a Eugene half-marathon, enjoys following the Oregon Ducks men and women's athletic teams, traveling to the Oregon coast, golf, and spending time with his family.
