Wayne, with his wife Ann, enjoy being active members of the community. Wayne is a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and Shrine. By the Governor's appointment, he served for five years on the Oregon Mortuary and Cemetery Board. He is Past-President of the Oregon Funeral Director's Association. He is a member of the Elks, Eagles, and Moose Lodges, former member of the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation Board of Directors, former Elder of his church, Past-President of the Eugene Active 20/30 Club and the Eugene Downtown Lions Club.
Mark is a native Oregonian, attended the University of Oregon, and graduated from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1981. Mark and his wife Diane lived in Florence for three years and together managed Riverside Chapel. Mark is a Mason, a member of Scottish Rite and the Shrine and has served on the board of Oregon Club. He has served as president of Siuslaw Lions Club, Lane Memorial Blood Bank, the Eugene Active 20/30 Club and Lane Leaders Association. He served as president of the Oregon Funeral Directors in 1996-1997, as Oregon's representative to the National Funeral Directors Association's (NFDA) Policy Board, and as chairman of NFDA's Constitution and Bylaws Committee. In 1997 he was the first funeral director in Oregon to be awarded to designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (C.F.S.P.) by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. C.F.S.P. is funeral service' s national individual recognition. He was the 1st Oregonian to serve as President of the National funeral Directors Association in 2003-2004 and is serving on the Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation Board.
Diane is a graduate of the University of Oregon. She is a licensed Funeral Service Practitioner in Oregon. She assisted in the management of Riverside Chapel Funeral Home in Florence, OR and was active in many civic organizations. In Eugene, Diane is past president of Soroptmist International of Eugene, OR , active in her church, PTA Board Member, and has served on the City of Eugene's Enterprise Zone Committee. She and Mark have two sons, Matthew and Nicholas.
Jeff was born and raised in Eugene. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Oregon and an Associate of Arts degree from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He is active in his church and is Past –President of the Eugene Active 20/30 Club, The Eugene Downtown Lions Club, the Oregon Club of Eugene-Springfield and the Midtown Business Associates. He serves on the Board of Directors for Lions Visiongift, the Oregon Funeral Directors Association the Funeral Service Agency, and is the Oregon Representative on the National Funeral Directors Association Policy Board. Jeff is also a former member of DMORT, a federal organization that assists in the event of a mass fatality. Jeff and his wife, Sharon, have two children.
Sharon earned a Business degree from Lane Community College and worked as an Accountant and Tax Preparer before becoming a full time mother of two. She worked as a Fitness and Weight Loss Coach before joining the Administration Staff of Musgrove Mortuaries and Cemeteries in 2005. Sharon is a Certified Specialist in Fitness Nutrition. She is active in her church, is a volunteer Teacher in recovery programs at the Eugene Mission and Ashes to Beauty, and supports the work of Precious Life International and Pasha's Hopeful Steps, giving aid to the Maasai people of East Africa. Sharon enjoys spending time with friends and family, travel and being culinary adventurous.
Randy Van Leuven
Randy Van Leuven grew up outside of Redding, CA. He graduated from Chico State University in Chico, CA with a bachelors in Health Sciences and then went on to attend American River College in Sacramento where he graduated from the Mortuary Science Program in 2004.
Randy moved from California to Eugene in 2005 when he started his apprenticeship as a Funeral Director/Embalmer at Poole-Larson Funeral Home. He worked there for almost two years and then made a change into banking for the next two years. He left banking and returned to funeral service where he worked at Major Family Funeral Home in Springfield for six years. He joined the staff at Musgrove’s in January of 2015. He is married and has three children. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoys watching his children play soccer, backpacking, camping, fishing, hunting, and many other outdoor activities.
Joseph E. Sharps was born and raised in Coos Bay, Oregon. In the year 2000 he graduated from Mount Hood Community College, with a degree in Funeral Service Education. After graduating from Mt. Hood Community College, Joe received a degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon. Prior to working for Musgrove Family Mortuary, Joe taught embalming and other funeral education classes at Mt. Hood Community College. In 2005, Joe became a volunteer diver for the Lane County Search & Rescue Dive Team, and he is an active member of Lane Leaders Association, and the Eugene Dive Club He enjoys scuba diving, hunting, fishing, backpacking, whitewater rafting, camping, and mycology.
Deanna K. Harbison was born and raised in Reno/Sparks, Nevada. She joined the staff of Musgrove Family Mortuary in December 2005 as a funeral director/embalmer and location manager. She spent 10 years serving the families of Lane County while working at a funeral home in Springfield. She attended San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, graduating in October 1991 with a degree in Mortuary Science. She served her apprenticeship in Seaside, California Monterey Bay area, and has retained her California Embalmer's license. She is a mother of three, Shea, Rabecca and Devyn. She was a volunteer for the Lane County District Attorney's Office in their 24 hour Crime Victims and Survivors Service Unit for 1 ½ years, SMART Reader program for 3 years, a girl scout leader for the Girl Scouts of Western Rivers Council for 7 years. She is past president of the Springfield Kiwanis Club and helped with Safety Town, a Kindergartner awareness program, Fire & Life Safety Fair at Alton Baker Park and the Children's Celebration at Day Island Park and a current member of the Eugene Emerald Empire Kiwanis Club, and Order of the Eastern Star (OES) Cascade Chapter #155, Springfield. She is also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were she did the church bulletin for 5 years. She is a die hard 49ers and Fighting Iris of Notre Dame fan. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, painting, crafts, reading, family reunions and trips to the coast.
Linette was born and raised in Healdsburg, California. She graduated from Healdsburg High School in 1993 and took several classes at the Santa Rosa Junior College. While in Healdsburg, she enjoyed volunteering at the local Police Department as a Police Dispatcher where she received her Dispatching certification while working full time with Developmentally Disabled Adults.
She moved to Eugene in 2005 and decided that she would put dispatching aside to raise her now 21 year old daughter who has become an Oregon Duck Student (she’s very proud of her Kiddo). Linette enjoyed being a “Cheer Mom” while her daughter competed on 2 cheerleading teams, taking them to Washington, California and Canada.
She became a Military Wife in June of 2010 when she married her best friend Thomas Reasons. She started working for Musgrove Family Mortuary in March of 2012 and has since found her calling. Having lost 2 adult Siblings, she finds it very rewarding to help families receive the same personal care she and her family received in their time of need. She feels this is the industry that she wants to be in for years to come as she finds this job intriguing, unique and fulfilling. Linette’s hobbies include, Scuba Diving, mountain bike riding, scrapbooking, camping and spending time with her little family.
Theresa Isaksen-Theresa started working for Musgrove Family Mortuary in 2003 and has been an apprentice Funeral Director/Embalmer for 3 years. She is married and has 4 grown children and one dog. A life-long resident of Oregon, Theresa graduated from North Eugene High School and did volunteer work through church and at the children's schools while raising her family. Her main responsibilities at the funeral home are taking care of the families who choose to have Celebration of Life Receptions.
Shannon Wilson is a lifetime resident of Lane County, she graduated from Cottage Grove High School and joined the staff at Musgrove Mortuaries & Cemeteries in March of 2006. She works at Musgrove Family Mortuary as the Funeral Home Administrator and is a Licensed Family Service Practitioner as well. Being both the administrator and a funeral director makes her job very versatile and rewarding. Shannon has a degree in business and worked in the funeral business for a year prior to joining our staff. She spent nine years working in the administration field before entering the funeral business and also worked four teen years prior to that as a hairdresser. She also owned and operated a daycare/preschool business for ten years. She has four children, 2 sons, Justin, & Kelly and 2 daughters, Noelle & Kelsea. She also has five grandchildren. Her hobbies include promoting her favorite band, Windy Ridge by creating and managing their website and Facebook, doing all their photography and creating their posters and CD’s. Other hobbies and interests include; cooking, photography, camping, family and Oregon Duck Football.
Dennis is a native Oregonian, getting his start at Sacred Heart in Eugene. Jr. high and high school were in the beautiful central Oregon town of Prineville. Then it was back to Eugene for college at LCC. In 1978, Dennis walked into Chapel of Memories to put in his name as a soloist and was offered a job washing cars, mowing lawn, helping with funerals, greeting family and friends for evening visitations, etc. This was a position where Dennis could help people during a very tough time in their lives. He decided to become a funeral director. Dennis graduated from Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia in 1980. While at college, Dennis was elected chaplain of the Theta Chapter of the National Mortician’s Fraternity. He returned to Eugene to work as a funeral director and embalmer at Chapel of Memories.
In 1998, Dennis went back to college to pursue teaching as a career. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Northwest Christian College in 2001 in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree from the University of Oregon in 2007 in Mid-Secondary Special Education. After working weekdays in the public school system and every other weekend as a funeral director and embalmer at Musgrove Family Mortuary from 2006 through 2013, it was time to go back into the funeral profession full time.
Dennis had the opportunity to travel Western, Mid-Western and Southern states singing tenor for several different part-time Southern Gospel groups, including: The Sound of Truth Quartet from Comer, Georgia; One in Spirt from Eugene, Oregon, and Cornerstone Gospel Singers from Junction City, Oregon. He currently sings occasionally with the worship team at Willamette Christian Center in Eugene, where he and his wife, Jody, are members. Dennis and Jody have 2 grown children: Alyssa and Derek and 2 grandsons: Seth and Landon.

Joined the US Army in 1960 spent 30 yrs Ret, Sergant Major, 1984-1991 University of Oregon ROTC, Senior instructor. Worked for 10yrs for Kendall auto group as a salesman. Joined the Musgrove Family Mortuary in 2006. Enjoys working on his 1964 Ford Falcon, watching western movies, likes reading, gardening and working around the house on different projects.
Gene Drake grew up in Medford, Oregon and graduated from Medford Senior High School. He began working at a Medford cemetery as a groundsman in 1981. He married his wife Shauna in 1984, they have five children; Elise, Amber, Jessica, Nathan and Stefan and one grandson, Jaden. He began his Funeral Service Practitioner apprenticeship in 1986 and became a licensed Funeral Director in 1989. He graduated from Mt Hood Community College Mortuary Science program in 1990 and became an Embalmer as well. Gene returned to Medford following college and worked and managed the funeral home where he started his career. He moved to Springfield, Oregon in 1999 and took a management position at a local funeral home. He joined the staff at Musgrove’s working as a Funeral Director/Embalmer/ Manager at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home in November of 2005. He is a member of Springfield Rotary and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoys his children’s sporting activities, backpacking, camping, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities.
