Mark Musgrove
Mark is a native Oregonian, attended the University of Oregon, and graduated from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science in 1981. Mark and his wife Diane lived in Florence for three years and together managed Riverside Chapel. Mark is a Mason, a member of Scottish Rite and the Shrine and has served on the board of Oregon Club. He has served as president of Siuslaw Lions Club, Lane Memorial Blood Bank, the Eugene Active 20/30 Club and Lane Leaders Association. He served as president of the Oregon Funeral Directors in 1996-1997, as Oregon's representative to the National Funeral Directors Association's (NFDA) Policy Board, and as chairman of NFDA's Constitution and Bylaws Committee. In 1997 he was the first funeral director in Oregon to be awarded to designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (C.F.S.P.) by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. C.F.S.P. is funeral service' s national individual recognition. He was the 1st Oregonian to serve as President of the National funeral Directors Association in 2003-2004 and is serving on the Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation Board.
Diane Musgrove
Diane is a graduate of the University of Oregon. She is a licensed Funeral Service Practitioner in Oregon. She assisted in the management of Riverside Chapel Funeral Home in Florence, OR and was active in many civic organizations. In Eugene, Diane is past president of Soroptmist International of Eugene, OR , active in her church, PTA Board Member, and has served on the City of Eugene's Enterprise Zone Committee. She and Mark have two sons, Matthew and Nicholas.
Jeffrey Musgrove
Jeff was born in Eugene. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Oregon and an Associate of Arts degree from the San Francisco College of Mortuary Science. He is active in his church and is Past-President of the Eugene Active 20/30 Club and the Eugene Downtown Lions Club. He is the 2010 President of the Oregon Club of Eugene/Springfield and serves on the Board of Directors for the Lions Eye Bank of Oregon, the Funeral Service Agency and the Mid-Town Business Association. Jeff is also a member of DMORT, a federal organization that assists in the event of a mass fatality. Jeff and his wife Sharon have two children.
Sharon Musgrove
Sharon joined the Administration staff at Musgrove Family Mortuary in 2005 after spending 13 years in Accounting and Tax Preparation. She has a degree in Business Management and has worked in both Medical and Accounting Professions. Previous to joining the Musgrove staff, Sharon was a fitness and weight loss consultant. She is Past President of the Eugene Lioness Club and served on the Board of Directors of Tripass Ski Club. Currently she is on Site Council and is an active PTA member with her childrens' elementary school. She is also actively working with Precious Life International giving aid to the Maasai people of Africa.
Don Dove
Chris Rees
Chris was born in California and raised in Springfield, Oregon. He is married and has two children. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Prior to working at Musgrove's, he was a contractor for over 20 years. He often donates his time and expertise helping low income families repair and maintain their homes. "Caring for the needs of your loved one is my top priority."
Randall Wood
Randy has been in the Cemetery/Funeral Home business for more than 40 years. In 1999 He received the designation of "Certified Cemetery Executive" (CCE) from the International Cemetery and Funeral Association. To receive this honor Randy had to complete the rigid tests of time and experience, and then be approved by the ICFA Certification Board. Randy has served in many capacities in the DeathCare Industry, such as, Vice President of Sales & Development, Manager and Apprentice Embalmer. He has held Executive positions of leadership in several church organizations and civic groups. Randy has been married for 43 years and has 2 children and four grandchildren. He is responsible for the Musgrove's Family Cemetery Operations, Sales and Development. "It is my belief that every family should have the opportunity and privilege to select their Lasting Family Memorial before the time of need. At any of the Musgrove Family Memorial Parks it is our desire to help families deal with the certainties of life".
Andrea Unfried
Andrea joined the Administration staff in May 2007 as Chief Financial Officer after working 23 years in the wood products industry in the accounting field. She is a native of Eugene and graduated from the University Of Oregon College Of Business. She is a board member for SAIL Housing, a local non-profit that supports housing for people with developmental disabilities. Andrea and her husband Corey, enjoy traveling and playing golf.
Dee Harbison
Deanna K. Harbison was born and raised in Reno/Sparks, Nevada. She joined the staff of Musgrove Family Mortuary in December 2005 as a funeral director/embalmer and location manager. She spent 10 years serving the families of Lane County while working at a funeral home in Springfield. She attended San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, graduating in October 1991 with a degree in Mortuary Science. She served her apprenticeship in Seaside, California Monterey Bay area, and has retained her California Embalmer's license. She is a mother of three, Shea, Rabecca and Devyn. She was a volunteer for the Lane County District Attorney's Office in their 24 hour Crime Victims and Survivors Service Unit for 1 ½ years, SMART Reader program for 3 years, a girl scout leader for the Girl Scouts of Western Rivers Council for 7 years. She is past president of the Springfield Kiwanis Club and helped with Safety Town, a Kindergartner awareness program, Fire & Life Safety Fair at Alton Baker Park and the Children's Celebration at Day Island Park and a current member of the Eugene Emerald Empire Kiwanis Club, and Order of the Eastern Star (OES) Cascade Chapter #155, Springfield. She is also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were she did the church bulletin for 5 years. She is a die hard 49ers and Fighting Iris of Notre Dame fan. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, painting, crafts, reading, family reunions and trips to the coast.
Bill Evans
Born: November 18, 1942 in Santa Maria, CA Wife: Lynn (Between us 7 children, 16 Grandchildren) Born and raised in California. Joined the US Army in 1960 spent 30 yrs Ret, Sergant Major, 1984-1991 University of Oregon ROTC, Senior instructor. Worked for 10yrs for Kendall auto group as a salesman. Joined the Musgrove Family Mortuary in 2006. Enjoys working on his 1964 Ford Falcon, watching western movies, likes reading, gardening and working around the house on different projects.
Bob McCune
Bob McCune, is a Viet Nam Veteran who graduated from Corvallis High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry Engineering from Oregon State University. Bob lived in Reedsport for nine years while he was employed by International Paper Company and Reedsport School District. From 1985 until 2003 he held the position of Facilities Manager for Marion County in Salem, living first in Dallas then in Sublimity. In 2003 Bob and his wife Anna decided to change careers and become Funeral Directors. After becoming licensed Funeral Directors and taking three years learning the trade in Southern California Bob and Anna returned home to Oregon and recently moved into their new home in Monroe. Bob is a licensed Funeral Service Practitioner, pre-need insurance agent, and Apprentice Embalmer. He is currently attending college to obtain his embalmer’s license. Bob enjoys camping, fishing and hunting and along with Anna are active in their church and enjoy their four children and spoiling their eight (soon to be nine) grandchildren.
Nicole Palenzuela
Nicole was born in Southern California. She has worked in the Funeral Industry for five years, and has worked as a Cemetery Administrator for 4 years. Nicole is currently attending Lane Community College. Her hobbies include reading, spending time with family and going to the coast.
Gene Drake
Gene L Drake/Funeral Director
Gene Drake grew up in Medford, Oregon and graduated from Medford Senior High School. He began working at a Medford cemetery as a groundsman in 1981. He married his wife Shauna in 1984, they have five children; Elise, Amber, Jessica, Nathan and Stefan and one grandson, Jaden. He began his Funeral Service Practitioner apprenticeship in 1986 and became a licensed Funeral Director in 1989. He graduated from Mt Hood Community College Mortuary Science program in 1990 and became an Embalmer as well. Gene returned to Medford following college and worked and managed the funeral home where he started his career. He moved to Springfield, Oregon in 1999 and took a management position at a local funeral home. He joined the staff at Musgrove’s working as a Funeral Director/Embalmer/ Manager at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home in November of 2005. He is a member of Springfield Rotary and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoys his children’s sporting activities, backpacking, camping, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities.
Michelle Peck
Michelle hails from the Jayhawker state moving from Kansas to the Eugene area in October of 2005. She has been with Springfield Memorial Gardens since March of 2006. Prior to that, she worked in the cemetery industry in Wichita Kansas. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 1997 from Ottawa University and in 2003 she earned her Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from Wichita State University. Michelle is involved in the local United Way and in her spare time, she enjoys camping, hiking and various other outdoor activities.
