A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Willamette National Cemetary in Portland for Helen L. Turbyne of Eugene, who died June 15 of age-related causes. She was 90.
A memorial gathering will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 5, at 55140 Delta Road in Blue River.
She was born May 8, 1920, in Driggs, Idaho, to Charles and Blanche Race Martin. She married George Turbyne on July 2, 1942, in Spokane. He died Jan. 19, 2002.
She graduated from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Spokane. She was a nurse at Sacred Heart General Hospital in Eugene.
Survivors include four daughters, Karen McLean of Eugene, Robin Barnes of Hermiston, Diane Edge of Anchorage, and Juann Turbyne Muñoz of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; a brother, Darrel Martin of Kalispell, Mont.; a sister, Elizabeth Arsers of San Antonio; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
