A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. March 13 at Woodland Park Clubhouse in Eugene for Helen Hoppas of Eugene, who died Feb. 22 of age-related causes. She was 90.
She was born April 9, 1919, in Oberlin, Kan., to William and Marie Waldo Enyeart. She married Eldon Hoppas in June 1937 in Klamath Falls. He died in 1999.
She graduated from high school and obtained her state teaching certificate. She taught school for one year. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Montgomery of Yakima, Wash., and Sherie Kindler of Portland; two sisters, Betty Leupton of Forest Grove and Esther Bailey of Lincoln, Neb.; longtime companion Arne Moe; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
