Musgrove Family Mortuaries and Cemeteries are proud of a long heritage of commitment to our profession. In the 126 years we have served in the funeral profession in Lane County we have had eight funeral directors serve as President of the Oregon Funeral Directors Association (OFDA) and one President of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA):

Mark Musgrove – OFDA 1996/97 & NFDA 2003/4
Wayne and Mark Musgrove were both appointed by the Governor of the State of Oregon to two terms on the Oregon State Mortuary and Cemetery Board.
Mark Musgrove served, as Oregon's representative to the National Funeral Directors Association's (NFDA) Policy Board, and as chairman of NFDA's Constitution and Bylaws Committee. In 1997 he was the first funeral director in Oregon to be awarded to designation of Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (C.F.S.P.) by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. The Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice is funeral service’s national individual recognition. He was the 1st Oregonian to serve as President of the National funeral Directors Association. Mark currently serves as spokesperson for the NFDA and as a board member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. Mark is currently serving as President of the Heritage Club. The Heritage Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to funeral service education.
Jeff Musgrove is currently serving on the Funeral Service Association board that oversees Oregon funeral trust monies. He is also a member of DMORT, a federal organization that assists in the event of a mass fatality. Through DEMORT he has helped in New York after 9-11 and in Louisiana following the Katrina hurricane.
Joe Sharps has taught Embalming in the Funeral Service Education program at Mt. Hood Community College.
Gene Drake is currently serving as a board Member of the Oregon Funeral Directors Association.
